The Chicago Daily Herald is reporting today that a Lincolnshire, Ill., man has pled guilty to using identity theft to pay for more than a dozen trips to Walt Disney World. Police say that the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and Lincolnshire police became suspicious of Alexander Pera, a restaurant employee, when they discovered that he had booked multiple trips to Disney over the course of a year. An investigation revealed that he had purchased prepaid credit cards and gift cards using the identities of more than 50 people to pay for the trips. Pera will receive six months in jail as well as 30 months probation after pleading guilty to aggravated identity theft.
