Lure Design is creating the brand identity for new bar Olde 64

As much as we will miss Bar-BQ-Bar, it’s always nice to see a fresh new face among the downtown bars. And so it goes, with the passing of Bar-BQ (closing at the end of August), a new bar – Olde 64 –  will take its place. (Although there should be many familiar faces behind the stick; new owner Gerard Mitchell says existing staff were invited to come back to their jobs when Olde 64 opens sometime after Sept. 1). And local brand development gurus Lure Design, Inc. are stepping up to create the bar’s new look.

By the way: That’s OLDE 64, not Old 64. Do not Google “Old 64,” and do not go to old64 dot com. And if you do, don’t say we didn’t warn you.

Below, the new logo; there’s also a placeholder site up. Here’s to more questionable behavior at 64 N. Orange Ave.
