From Dusk Till Dawn added to Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights lineup

July 16, 2014
By

From Dusk Till Dawn will be making its debut as a maze at Halloween Horror Nights this fall. The haunt will be based on Robert Rodriguez’s television series (which is based on his movie of the same name and airs on Rodriguez’s El Rey network), utilizing characters and locations from the franchise, including vampire-infested nightclub The Twister. Just like in the series (and movie) the bar built over Mexican ruins will be inhabited with Culebras, vampires who have tormented humans for centuries.

While the name of the club has been tamed down, most likely in the interest of remaining family-friendly (walking into a place called the “Titty Twister” is bound to bring up some awkward in-line conversations with Junior), the sexy snake-dancing vampire queen Santanico Pandemonium will be making an appearance. We can only hope the scareactor playing her does Salma Hayek justice.

This is the second maze announced for this year’s iteration of Halloween Horror Nights. Earlier this year, Universal revealed that The Walking Dead would be back for its third year with a house based on Terminus, incorrectly advertised as a “sanctuary for all.”

Halloween Horror Nights 24 kicks off Sept. 19. Watch the official announcement of the new maze from director Robert Rodriguez and cast members from the series:
