UPDATE: LeAnn Rimes, Lil’ Kim and Mýa perform at Parliament House

May 5, 2014

Gay Days are *almost* here again (June 2-8), and this year Parliament House pulled out all the stops to book some [admittedly just past their] prime talent including Da Brat, LeAnn Rimes, Lil’ Kim and Mýa. (Lil’ Kim had to cancel, scroll down to read why.)

Da Brat kicks off the week of guest appearances at 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 3 ($10), making sure the week is adequately funkdafied.

At 8p.m. Friday, June 6, catch Mýa ($20-$50), the R&B singer who reminded us “It’s All About Me” by re-releasing the single as part of a Valentine’s Day EP, With Love, earlier this year.

Then, at 8 p.m. Saturday, June 7, everybody’s sweetheart LeAnn Rimes ($30-$75) continues her lifelong battle against moonlight at P House, likely singing covers off her 2011 release Lady & Gentlemen, new songs from last year’s Spitfire, and early hits like “Blue.”

Rounding it out, at 8 p.m. Sunday, June 8, Lil’ Kim (the Notorious K.I.M. herself, $30-$100) delivers a ladies night to remember, girls.  Looks like Lil’ Kim is preggo and won’t be able to perform, but don’t worry, she’s still showing up (!!) … just a little later than she originally planned. You can catch her later this year at Orlando Pride on Saturday, October 11. In her place, they’ve booked two acts (big deal substituting Lil’ Kim, ya know) rapper Dev and R&B queens En Vogue.
