Help the Mud Flappers get showcased on VH1

October 21, 2013

Man. Where was this contest when Troy from Reality Bites was considering a Whole Foods Market career? Whole Foods is sort of famous (or infamous, depending on who you ask) for the creative types that they employ, so it makes a ton of sense for them to bolster the musician quadrant of their staff while also, of course, getting a little positive attention for themselves with a music project that asks the world to vote for the best team member band, so they can choose which one to show off at a VH1 showcase in Austin, Tex. And, what do you know, the Winter Park Whole Foods has a finalist in its midst in the Mud Flappers, a local folk band that you guys already voted Best Folk Act in our Orlando Weekly polls this year. Listen to them now if you’ve been missing out on their rootsy sound:

But here’s an added bonus for those who take the time to vote. There is a second contest that has a pretty badass prize for a random winner who votes for their favorite band. That person will win a $1,000 Whole Foods gift card (Tip: blow it all in the specialty section if you know what’s good for you) as well as a trip for 2 to New York City. To vote (you gotta be 18) for the Mud Flappers, just click here, enter your name and email, fill out the captcha code and agree to their terms. And if you’re extra motivated to stuff the raffle with your name, keep in mind that you can vote every day until the contest ends this Wednesday, Oct. 23.
