“Escape From Tomorrow” trailer is a ballsy middle finger right to Disney’s face

I thought the posters for Escape from Tomorrow, the film shot clandestinely at Disney World, were a pretty blatant middle finger to the House of Mouse, but they don’t have anything on the actual trailer, which is shit stirring to the absolute max:

Disney is still right to keep their mouths shut and ignore this film, but it must be so hard to sit on their white gloved hands while this plays out.

Update: All of the YouTube links were taken down but this Trailer Addicts version still works for now.

i suppose you’re speaking from a marketing point of view. that’s exactly what Disney Earth Inc. wants you to do and that’s exactly the problem. you, me, and everyone we know, in fact the population of the world is not enough, we are the target of their marketing and the ceaseless barrage of the phony fantasy deamlife. and don’t try and tell me you’re sophisticated enough to deconstruct their advertising ploys because it started when you were a child. a time when you accepted everything the adult world gave you. it seems a lot of us still accept this b.s. like medicine from a mother. what in your estimation is disney capable of? lawsuits, mergers, off-shore assets, environmental destruction, subliminal messages, even murder?

but it must be so hard to sit on their white gloved hands while this plays out.

and what should they do? kill the filmmakers? make sure they never get a job in this town again? whose side are you on? i don’t think you’re ready.
and if you find this hard to understand it’s because i don’t feel like explaining myself. we are, after all, just shadows on a platform that are glimpsed from a moving train.

It is a smart move by Disney to leave thisbe even though they had a strong case. The movie will only acquire more publicity from Disney’s attack and it is best to just let them have their fun, ruin the producers free publicity plan and let the film go under history’s dumping site.
