Our intrepid restaurant reviewer and Tip Jar columnist, Faiyaz Kara, named his top five picks of 2012’s new restaurants in our Dec. 26 issue. For your reservation-making ease and pleasure, here are links to his original reviews of all five places:

Peperoncino Cucina: “The simplicity and flawless rationing of tomato, cheese, basil and olive oil had us reminiscing about the sincere and uncomplicated pasta preparations of our recent Italian sojourn.” (7988 Via Dellagio Way, 407-440-2856;; reviewed May 17)

Spork Café: “Tisse [Mallon]‘s work as a ‘happiness coach’ has clearly affected the dishes coming out of this diminutive kitchen.
