A.T.T.I.C. plays at Stardust this Saturday, May 28, with Lady Lazarus (from Savannah), Saskatchewan (who will be playing their first live show), and Marmalade.

Any band members currently/formerly in other projects?
Megan Gattozzi was the supporting vocalist for the former band Bananafish, now known as Loud Valley, as well as An Introduction to Sunshine.
Stephen Lighthouse was the bassist for Mirror Pal, as well as Bananafish, and also played bass for the former band Vasti.
Currently available releases:
There are no official releases available as of yet. Technically, we started playing in January, our first show was actually New Years of this year. Currently we’re working on our first album entitled ‘A Tentative Time in Creation’ which is the meaning of the acronym for our band. So far we have just digitally released singles available online.

Describe your sound:
Computer-based compositions fused with jazz standards, blues, and folk.
Five Questions:
1) What has been your most memorable show so far?
2) Which local band is your favorite one to play a show with?
Well, we’ve only played about 10 shows so far and many of them were with bands from out of town, but we would love to play with: Fever, Alias Punch, and The Pauses.
3) What description gets used for your band that you would most like to correct people on? Why?
The people who have actually approached us after watching us play, rarely compare us to any thing at all and the few comparisons we have received, in our eyes, were pretty dang flattering.
4) What’s your favorite thing about being an Orlando band? What’s your least favorite?
Our favorite aspect would be the genuinely passionate, creative minds, who are working diligently to build a real art district for the city of Orlando. which it deserves. Our least favorite, the general apathy towards that growing art scene. It seems like for the city of Orlando, it’s all backwards. People would rather go to a nightclub or bar where they can hear the same music played on reel, rather than come see fresh budding artists create something new. Don’t get us wrong, there’s nothing bad about going out and dancing, but why not save some of those epic dance moves for the local musicians too? After all, art is only as strong as the people who support it.
5) Any big news to share?
We’re in the middle of recording our album, and we are always working on improving our live set. One personal goal we’ve made is, to make each new show a little different than the last, so we are always writing new material.
