Chanuk-update
Okay, see below for the post about Brian Feldman and the Feldman Dynamic’s A Cracker Barrel® Chanukah! Got it? Good.
Now, get ready for ChanuIKEA®! Same idea, but at Ikea. Simple, no?
To make this even simpler (on me), here’s what the creator has to say about it (emphasis added):
You are invited to join in this Jewish-Swedish celebration and order anything off the IKEA Orlando Restaurant menu, at your expense. There will be dreidels, there will be electric menorahs, there will be Swedish Fish®. After dining, we will wander, like our ancestors did, through the IKEA Lighting Department and join together in singing Peter Yarrow’s (Peter, Paul & Mary) Chanukah classic, “Light One Candle.” Next year in älmhult!
It’s also got a tagline:
Notes: Event Tagline: Shtub merste vikhtik mokem inem velt. Ayo? Approximate Pronunciation: Shtoob merste vikh’tik mo’kem in’em velt. Ayo? Approximate Translation: Home is the most important place in the world.
As last time, not sanctioned by Ikea, yadda yadda yadda. It’s Dec. 28 at 6 p.m. I assume you all know how to find Ikea (by the Mall at Millenia). Go keep that oil burning, ya’ crazy yids!
