Oliver North book signing in Mount Dora, June 17

Gather ‘round the campfire for some of Grandpa’s war stories. Okay, well, not so much grandpa, but definitely war stories. Retired Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel Oliver North is signing his newest book, Counterfeit Lies, Tuesday,  June 17, at Barrel of Books and Games in Mount Dora, just a 45 minute drive north of the greater Orlando area. YEEEEEEHAWWWWW!

Counterfeit Lies (is a fake lie the truth, or is it simply a more elaborate lie? questions, questions) is a crime novel about Jake Kruse, an FBI agent pulled off of a smuggling case and into a seedy ring of North Korean espionage. Written with a level of military authenticity and a dedication to character over plot points – after all, authenticity and dedication are two of North’s most historic attributesCounterfeit Lies likely reads with the same untrue grit as similar fictional forays from his Fox News Channel coworker Bill O’Reilly. Oh, and speaking of, guess what! Mr. North is back in the news because of some inconsequential hypocrisy on hostage trading. Come see why all thirteen of North’s other novels have made it to the New York Times best sellers list: weird truthers, false-flaggers, fading Reaganites, rural gun-toters and Nobamas who like to line up with guns tucked into their Levi’s. Barrel of Books is expecting about 300 people, so come armed. KIDDING! (Try before you buy: you can read the first chapter of Counterfeit Lies on Amazon.com.)

Can’t make it all the way out to Lake County in time? Barrel of Books will have a copy signed for you if you call ahead.

The details:
