The City Beautiful has some hidden freebies for you to uncover this weekend. From an ice cream social to a Belgian Independence Day celebration, you can have unlimited fun on a limited budget.

Redefine Gallery is premiering a new show this week. Check out Mystique, an exhibit that explores the topic of feminine allure from both female and male perspectives.

La Chouffe Party
Head on down to The Gnarly Barley for a Belgian Independence Day celebration. Score some free swag, and be sure to get your picture taken in the giant gnome chair.

Business as Community Life: Winter Park 2013
Check out a collection of black-and-white photographs of  Winter Park landmarks at the Hannibal Square Heritage Center. The community center pays tribute to the past, present and future contributions of Winter Park’s historic African-American community.

Stephen Heywood and Sarah Alexander: Material Systems
View a two-person exhibition entitled Material Systems, featuring sculptures created by Stephen Heywood and paintings by Sarah Alexander. The gallery is located in New Smyrna, and the exhibit will be on display through July 26.

2nd Annual Ice Cream Social
Tackle the heat with a cooling treat at Whole Foods’ second annual Ice Cream Social. At the Winter Park Whole Foods, guests can celebrate National Ice Cream Month with complimentary cones and sprinkles.

Lakeside Inn Street Palooza
Crash a party without repercussions. Mount Dora’s Lakeside Inn is hosting a street party with arts and craft vendors, food, drinks and family-friendly activities. A concert will start at 7:30 p.m. with The Wholetones performing.

Star Spangled Summer Concert Series
The Star Spangled Summer Concert Series is a recurring Saturday event of tribute bands and evening fireworks from Memorial to Labor Day. This weekend’s live entertainment is Rocket Man, the Premier Elton John Tribute Show.

Quilts from My Paintbrush
Attend a quilt exhibition by modern primitive artist Ken “Blacktop” Gentle. This show features some of Ken’s memory paintings as well as large-scale replicas of quilts that are painted on lightweight packing blankets.

Addison Frei
